[PRESS RELEASE – Singapore, Singapore, October 29th, 2026]
Crypto projects will be able to lock AVA to have their token accepted as payment on Travala.
Travala, the Binance-backed crypto travel booking platform, today announced AVA+ Partners, a new program that will provide crypto projects with a route to having their token accepted as a payment method on Travala by buying and locking AVA, the token at the heart of the Travala ecosystem.
The program, which is currently in development, will require partner projects to hold AVA for as long as their token is accepted on Travala while receiving partner rewards throughout the partnership.
AVA+ Partners involves three steps for crypto partner projects:
- Buy AVA. Partner projects acquire AVA on the open market.
- Buy NFT. Partner projects acquire a Travel Tiger NFT.
- Activate & Lock. Partner projects activate a Smart Diamond membership and lock AVA in a dedicated AVA+ Partners smart contract for as long as the project’s token is accepted on Travala.
Projects can withdraw from AVA+ Partners at any time. Those that leave the program early contribute part of their locked AVA to the AVA Strategic Reserve, which Travala has committed never to sell or transfer from. All partner projects are subject to Travala’s approval.
“AVA+ Partners turns real-world utility on Travala into a long-term commitment to AVA,” said Steve Hipwell, AVA Foundation Lead Contributor. “It’s a use case that grows directly with the expansion of our partner and payment ecosystem.”
The initiative is the latest in a string of joint Travala and AVA ecosystem announcements. AVA locked in AVA+ Partners builds towards the recently announced long-term goal of achieving 30% of AVA’s circulating supply locked, with AVA locked by partner projects counted alongside AVA locked through the AVA Smart Program and AVA+ Rewards. Full terms, including withdrawal fees, will be set out in each partner agreement.
Projects interested in becoming partners can contact [email protected].
